People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding.

Malta has a good number of local organisations that provide support and expertise within the local community and are always welcoming potential volunteers.

In Malta, one can find ‘The Malta Council for Voluntary Organisations’, which is made up of representatives from Voluntary Organisations and one representative from the Government.

The Council is appointed by the Minister of Education, Employment and the Family every three years. The Chairperson of the Council is appointed by the members themselves at the beginning of each term.

We encourage you visit the list of registered voluntary organisation to find the best option for you or else give us a call and we’ll assist to identify the organisation according to your likings and interest.
